Bio:

Heavy metal band from Brazil, Tôrres, Rio Grande do Sul formed in 2017 by JN, guitar and vocal, Rodrigo Fernandes, guitar and Rodrigo Machado (Zé) on drums. After working on some of his own compositions, the formation stabilized in July of the same year with the entry of Zeto Bazana on bass and Mário Candiota on drums after Zé left. With this training, in October, the band set out to record the first EP, titled Time, Life and Death, captured at Abel Studio and mixed and mastered by Roger Fingle at Nitro Studio. In October the band counts on the entrance of Maurício Teixeira in the guitar and releases JN to execute only the function of singer. With five songs, the debut EP, to be released in December, will be accompanied by the band's first outreach shows.

Album:

Currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Janilson Quadros continues to expand creative boundaries with his one-man band Symphony Towers. In Black Symphony, his eighth studio album, the musician reaffirms the strength of a career built on absolute independence, artistic intensity and a solid identity within contemporary Heavy/Power Metal.Born in Torres (RS), Janilson is responsible for all compositions, recordings and production of the project. With impressive creative regularity — four albums released in the last three years alone — Symphony Towers has established itself as a unique force on the current scene, combining weight, melody and lyrical depth, always guided by a philosophical, symbolic and socially reflective approach.Released on 18 January 2026, Black Symphony represents another bold step in Janilson Quadros' artistic journey. The record is a concept album inspired by the Book of Enoch, an apocryphal text — excluded from the canon and not part of the traditional Bible — approached not literally, but as a mythological and spiritual source. The work delves into themes such as forbidden knowledge, the fall of the Watchers, the birth of the Nephilim, the corruption of creation and divine judgement, placing humanity in its fragile place between heaven and Earth.Lyrically, the album unfolds as a continuous narrative of revelation and collapse, where each track functions as an interconnected chapter. The language is poetic, atmospheric and restrained, avoiding direct explanations and favouring symbols, ambiguity and suggestions. Rather than indoctrinating, Black Symphony invites the listener to experience a journey into shadows, where sound, myth and emotion coexist. The opening track, ‘Seventh from Adam,’ presents Enoch as an observer and witness to the burden of knowledge. In ‘Children of the Earthbound Gods,’ the focus falls on the forbidden lineage that arose from the union between the Watchers and humanity — a track that has been made into a music video, now available on YouTube.Moments such as ‘The Watcher's Oath,’ ‘Nephilim,’ and ‘The Cry of the Earth’ deepen the concept, as the Earth takes on a voice of its own to lament the violence and imbalance caused by the fall. The album closes with the title track, ‘Black Symphony,’ which functions as a sombre requiem, where all elements converge in a final testimony expressed through darkness.Musically, the album reinforces Symphony Towers' identity in Heavy/Power Metal, balancing dense riffs, epic melodies and dark atmospheres, always in service of the narrative. Black Symphony does not seek easy answers: it is a sonic interpretation of a “forbidden” text, an invitation to existential reflection and immersion in a universe where revelation and ruin walk side by side.
