Bio:

The band Seraiah was formed in 1985 by drummer Kyle Dietz and guitarist Quinton Gibson (who would later join the band Whitecross). After several changes in its line-up, the band settled with vocalist Brad Beckey and bassist Trace Ferrie (who would later play with the bands Whitecross and Stryper and in Michael Sweet's solo career). In 1988, they released a demo that caught the attention of the record label Pure Metal, and in 1990, they signed on to release their debut album, Carnival World. The album was very well received by the public and critics alike and featured the hit single ‘Rise Up.’ The following year, they toured throughout the United States, building a solid fan base.In 1992, Trace left the band and was replaced by Kirk McKinley, and the band recorded their last self-titled album. The album managed to place two hits in the Top 10 on the radio with the singles ‘No More Lies’ and ‘Time for a Change’.In 1992, the band also opened for Stryper on their ‘Can't Stop the Rock Tour’.

Album:

More than three decades after emerging from Central Indiana’s thriving hard rock scene, SERAIAH returns with Devastating Daydream, the debut single and accompanying music video from the long-awaited definitive edition of Carnival World.Scheduled for release on July 10, 2026, through Eonian Records, the landmark reissue has been completely remixed and remastered and expanded into an archival edition featuring brand-new artwork, a deluxe 36-page booklet, premium packaging, and formats including CD and collectible Blood Moon Red vinyl housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket.Formed in Indiana in 1985, SERAIAH quickly established itself as one of the Midwest’s most exciting and ambitious metal bands. By the summer of 1988, the group had outgrown the regional club circuit and arrived at the legendary Metal Fest in Decatur, Illinois with a full-scale stage production and the confidence to match its musicianship. Sharing the bill with Bride, Sacred Warrior, and Vengeance, SERAIAH delivered a breakthrough performance that helped secure the band a recording contract with Pure Metal Records and cemented its reputation as one of the promising new acts in Christian hard rock and heavy metal.Originally released in 1990, Carnival World captured a band operating at full strength. Blistering guitar work, soaring vocal melodies, arena-sized choruses, and an unmistakable swagger came together on an album that remains a hidden gem of its era. Often compared to the raw energy and aggressive sound of early Mötley Crüe, SERAIAH combined melody, attitude, and muscle to create a record that remains compelling more than three decades later. Now, 36 years after its original release, Carnival World returns in its most comprehensive edition to date. The definitive edition was remixed by Jeffrey Gardner of Plus One Audio Services and remastered by Rob Colwell, delivering a bigger and more dynamic sound while preserving the character, energy, and intensity of the original recordings. The new edition features striking artwork, a deluxe 36-page booklet containing 100 previously unpublished photographs from the band’s personal archives, and an extensive historical essay by acclaimed music historian and Eonian Records friend Arttie Parker. The CD edition also includes six previously unreleased live soundboard recordings, highlighted by a blistering solo from Quinton Gibson and featuring bassist Tracy Ferrie’s first recorded performance with SERAIAH before he went on to perform with Stryper and Boston.Fans interested in exploring the band’s earliest history can also discover DEMOlish This, an archival collection documenting SERAIAH’s formative demo recordings. Featuring its own deluxe booklet and a wealth of rare photographs, the collection provides an intimate look at the songs, rehearsals, and creative ideas that laid the foundation for the band’s career.
