Fire in the Rodeo is a Glam/Heavy Rock band from Kolkata, India.The band is currently signed with Lions Pride Music Record Label, Denmark. Drawing inspirations from the Hard Rock/Glam Metal/Heavy Metal and old school Rock n Roll sound of the ‘80s, the band plans on keeping the golden period of Rock n Roll alive in India, with a touch of their own authenticity.We formed the band in 2022, we had several lineup changes till we aligned to a common vision to do Rock n’ Roll, that too in the most unadulterated way.

From India comes the band Fire In The Rodeo which recently released their self titled debut album. The band started out 2022 and prior to the debut album released a few singles. Fire In The Rodeo plays sleaze rock ‘n’roll.FIRE IN THE RODEO achieved great success in their home country in 2022 with their first single ‘Back For More’, followed six months later by their second single (‘Ready To Fight’). The quality of their music impressed Greek top manager Chris Siloma and Danish label Lions Pride Music, who have often taken up-and-coming talent under their wing. The reward for their determination and hard work is a worldwide contract and a self-produced debut in the form of a long-player.FIRE IN THE RODEO skilfully attempt to combine different styles of traditional hard rock. The first two tracks are classic hard rock hits with a slight sleaze influence, biting riffs, melodic vocal harmonies and dynamic forward momentum. ‘Cupid Have Mercy’, on the other hand, is melodic rock at its finest and captivates with a beautiful chorus. The extremely versatile voice of the singer, who not only reaches clear, extraordinary heights but also shines in the mid-range, comes into its own perfectly. Dark BLACK SABBATH instrumentation introduces the atmospheric, mid-tempo ‘Drives Me Crazy’, while ‘Red Hot’ delves deep into the glam rock genre. ‘Wings Of Freedom’, on the other hand, is a wonderfully composed song with AOR influences. ‘Dressed To Kill’ is quite out of the ordinary, coming across as funky with lots of groove, very interesting! The title track and first single ‘Back For More’ are traditional hard rock numbers, no more and no less. No rock album is complete without a ballad: ‘Sweet Memories’ is dripping with schmaltz and kitsch, just as it should be.
FIRE IN THE RODEO are on the right track, and I would love to see them make their international breakthrough.
