Rising Steel is a band from Grenoble (France) whose reputation among the French heavy metal landscape has been growing since its creation in 2012. Largely influenced by the 80's NWOBHM scene, the band delivers a solid and powerful metal music, legacy of the great Priest’s and Maiden’s spirits. Heavy metal is the Law !Their first 4-track EP “Warlord” was released on late 2014 and led them to share the stage with internationaly renowned bands such as Sister Sin, Crucified Barbara and even to open for ADX at the Rising Fest (Dijon, France).This self-produced EP received good critics and reviews on national and international medias and so did the videoclip of the eponymous song “Warlord”.Building upon this first success, 2015 was a year spent working on new material. So on the early 2016 they hit the [bon nom de studio]studio to record a 10-track album with Antonin Chardonnereau, the same engineer who recorded the EP.For the vocal parts, the band decided to work with legendary Norwegian producer Terje Refsnes (Carpathian Forest, Nightmare, Turisas ..) at the Soundsuite Studio in Marseille (France).The mastering part will be carried out by Audiosiege (Portland ,USA) with Brad Boatright (Corrosion Of Conformity, Black Tusk ...), who specializes in extreme music and metal mastering.This explosive blend gives this upcoming record a crushing sound and reveals the sharpness of the band's new songs, which will no doubt conquer a large audience !

RISING STEEL‘s new album to be released via Frontiers Music, “Legion Of The Grave”, is their fourth full-length studio effort and it sees the French metallers playing as ferociously as ever, while continuing to evolve their heavy and aggressive sound.The album was recorded in France by Mathieu Gaud and Steel Zard at Studio de la Plaine (KNT) and Lezard Studio. Mixing duties were handled by Staffan Karlsson and Rickard Bengtsson at Sweetspot Studio in Sweden, known for their work with bands like Meshuggah and Arch Enemy. It was mastered by the renowned Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Finland, ensuring a production that’s as powerful and precise as the music itself.Based in Grenoble, France, Rising Steel deliver a “not so” classical heavy metal experience, drawing strong influence from the ‘80s NWOBHM movement, as well as elements of hard rock and thrash. With nods to iconic bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, their music also appeals to fans of Metallica, Accept, Saxon, Nevermore, etc.”Legion of the Grave” kicks off with the ferocious and monstrous “Betrayer.” The song is a mix of melodic metal and power metal with some screaming vocals from frontman Emmanuelson, and bone-crushing riffs from guitarists Tony and Steff. The title track is classic heavy metal with little bits of doom metal in the chorus, especially with the screaming vocals. Very dark, intense, and atmospheric.“Messiah of Death” is a speed metal banger that’s fun and aggressive. The guitar solo is fantastic and once the headbanging starts, it’s hard to stop.While Emmanuelson isn’t the greatest metal shouter, the instrumentation is fantastic. Tony and Steff’s guitar riffs are crushing and both have a great tone, Stone Warrior’s bass lines are thick and menacing, and Zard’s raw drum sound really adds to the band’s old-school heavy metal vibe.
