Bio:
Temtris formed in the year 2000 in Sydney with Wayne Campbell ( Formally from Mortal Sin) on Drums , Anthony Fox on Guitar and Genevieve Rodda on Vocals. Temtris was later joined with lew Smith on Guitar to record the first album Threshold in 2002. This album was self released and sold in limited quanities at shows only and is now currently unavailable. In 2006 Gavin Swan joined Temtris to play bass and Tom Wallace was replacing Wayne on the drums. Temtris was back in the studio to record the second album Masquerade. This was released with worldwide distribution through Battlegod productions in 2007 and is currently sold out.Temtris had some more member changes with Dale Green replacing Gavin on Bass in 2007 and later on James Rodwell taking up the Drum position from Tom.Temtris continued to tour up and down the East Coast whilst writting material for the 3rd Album.Unfortunately James could not commit anymore time to Temtris in 2010 and another drummer was to be found. Benjamin Hart was to complete the lineup and recording started on the 3rd Album Shallow Grave.Temtris toured across Australia , playng shows in Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane. In 2013 Shallow Grave was almost complete and ready for release when Dale Green decided to leave Temtris . Adam Wootherspoon took over and the show went on with album number 3's launch at Sydneys Valve Bar on the 28th march 2014.Temtris was proud to announce it had the support for "Accept" at the Factory theatre in Sydney in November of 2014. Playing to a sold out crowd of 800!Benjamin Hart and Lew Smith decided to move on from Temtris after this show and follow other musical goals and Temtris was lucky enough to have orignal drummer Wayne Campbell back behind the kit in January of 2015 to start the writting of the 4th Album. Anthony Hoffman filled the 7 string duties on guitar and Temtris released the 4th studio album Enter the asylum in April of 2016 and toured it across Australia with a fantastic response. In 2017 Temtris has moved forward with new members , Mitch joining us on Bass and Taso picked up the sticks behind the kit. Temtris touring constanly and pushing forward in 2018 again put the pressure on members. Taso and Mitch leaft the band to follow other musical ventures and Nik picked up the Bass duties in January while Youhan joined us on the drums. Temtris is currently recording the 5th album and will have a single to release in July with a new Film clip. The album and tour is booked in for October 2018
Album:
Temtris 8th album Queen of Crows out on the 8th August 2025 through Wormholedeath and Temtris. In some cultures 8 is considered an extremely lucky number, so the omens are certainly stacked favourably for accomplished Australian heavy metal outfit TEMTRIS who are about to release their eighth studio album “Queen Of Crows” on the eighth day of the eighth month. Will this highly anticipated new album from TEMTRIS not only crown Genevieve Rodda as the ‘Queen Of Crows’, but also anoint her and the rest of the band to the highest table of rock royalty? Let’s delve a little deeper and find out!Without doubt every single track on “Queen Of Crows” certainly has the potential to get you salivating and drooling as you prepare yourself to devour every morsel with gusto because this is traditional heavy metal in its purest and most beautiful form. Wakening you up ungracefully from your slumbering stupor heavy on the hammer, sharp on the axe thumpers like “Narcosis” and pedal to the metal screamers like “The Risk” really do engage you fully straight off the bat and simply serve to whet your appetite even further.Modern meets the more traditional with the frighteningly electrifyingly pace of “The Risk”, whereas the equally memorable “Scars Of Betrayal” drops it all down a couple of gears whilst ratcheting up the torque with its hard-hitting bassline and demonly dextrous guitar work. The forces of evil gather and circle menacingly for the terrifyingly bleak “Murder Of Crows” where Santana meets Satan before the gothically tinged “Dying To Believe” helps prolong that deep black and dark mood just a little longer. If you think that by now “No One Is Listening” I would have to wholeheartedly disagree with you, quite the contrary in fact as TEMTRIS absolutely slay it with mesmerising off the hook riffs throughout! The emotionally charged and epic showstopper “Carnival Of Tears” briefly demonstrates a slightly softer string to TEMTRIS’ bow without ever morphing into a full-on full-blown ballad, as does the slow burning opening to “The world Is Bleeding Out” where the heat and tension steadily increases to the point of no return, the fuse ignites and we are launched with satisfying precision into the stratosphere.“The Queen Of Crows” ticks all the boxes for me and delivers on every single level, but the true icing on the cake on any TEMTRIS album is as always Genevieve Rodda’s superb rock vocals! They pack such a devastatingly powerful punch that you will be knocked unceremoniously off your feet and straight into the middle of next week. If somehow after all that you do manage to pick yourself up off the canvas and you are not too much of a gibbering wreck, don’t forget to hit that play button again!“The Queen Of Crows” holds your fate in her hands, are you ready to face the consequences? Well, it’s a resounding YES from me, so let’s ROCK!!! Very highly recommended!
