A Swedish rock band started in 2020.The musicians of "Caught In Action" have been an active part of the scene in Sweden for more than three decades.They have had separate careers in different bands or worked as backing musicians for guesting stars in the region. They’re now writing music to the Hard Rock /AOR audience online as well as live. Hard Rock and AOR is what’s been the foundation in their childhood and influences as Deep Purple, Gary Moore, Magnum, Rick Springfield, Journey, White Snake, Europe and others you can hear shining through their music. They started to write songs already in the beginning of the -80, but first in 2022 CIA they have released there first album " Devil´s Tango" . The second album is in the making and will be out under 2024.

Signed by Good Time Music, Swedish Melodic Rock / AOR band CAUGHT IN ACTION is back with a new album, ”Out of the Cold”. The world as we knew it was locked down due to the pandemic, but this musician and songwriter from the south of Sweden knocked boredom on the head.Richard Jönsson, who honed his craft as a guitarist and back up-singer with numerous Top 40-bands over more than thirty years, got tons of time on his hand when the pandemic cancelled all the gigs. Building on his love of AOR and melodic rock from the likes of Def Leppard, KISS, Magnum, Whitesnake, Boston and Survivor to name but a few, Richard dived in to a deep well of melodies, hooks, and choruses, and soon he had the songs. The result was the band’s debut 2022’s ‘Devil’s Tango’.With stronger songwriting and improved production, on ”Out of the Cold” CAUGHT IN ACTION sounds even more classy than before, melodic, smooth, with American ’80s influences however unmistakably Scandinavian.Caught In Action tap straight into that sound of the late 1980s Melodic Rock AOR, montage style of music. The sound of summer, convertibles, smelling of suntan lotion, and beautiful people on the beach. It sets that perfect idyllic soundtrack.All band members have been floating around the Swedish scene for three decades now, so that explains the quality of the songs and performances. They have certainly recorded another stunning album of classic-sounding AOR that will appeal to any fan of the genre.Where the debut had elements compared to the likes of Perfect Plan, this new album is more melodic as whole, closer to Work Of Art, Strangeways, Houston.It captures the spirit so perfectly you’d almost swear you owned this album back in the day. With tracks like ‘If I Could Change Your Mind’, ‘Days Of Wine And Roses’, ‘In This Moment’, ‘Staying Alive’, you’ve got the perfect soundtrack for the summer of 2025.This is melodic rock, heavy on the melodies and AOR hooks. However, Jönsson haul out some rocking riffs on a couple tracks for variation.If classic sound of the genre is your cup of tea, then you need to hear Caught In Action’s ”Out of the Cold”. Don’t expect anything to blow your mind, other than the fact that they have managed go straight into that sweet, sweet sound of 1988 and brought it back for us old fogies!
