REVENGE is formed by Esteban Mejia in 2002 with the idea of forming a band of Heavy Metal 80's, contact Johnny Herrera (drums), Jorge Rojas (bass) and Fermin Arenas (Guitar), for this moment already composed the songs that would be part of their first "Infernal Angels" demo which was released in 2003 and makes known the band on the scene of the city and some cities nationwide.2004 - After being invited to play at representative events of the local scene REVENGE prepares for what will be his first CD full leght and prior to this launch in December promo-cd titled "Fire Attack", which is received with a well accepted by the national scene.2005 - their debut CD called "Metal Warriors" an album full of Classic Heavy Metal published by the Colombian Dark Music label, which is distributed quickly and was able to leave Colombia apaises as USA, Spain, Japan, Germany, France and others is launched.2006 - This year the band is dedicated to perform several concerts in various cities in Colombia and work on what will be his next CD this year with Alex Betancur on guitar is released the single "Speed Metal Overload" showing what will come from the band.2007 - REVENGE released their second full leght entitled "Rage and Revenge" a disc with a Speed Dial and more Heavy Metal Content. After releasing this album REVENGE performed the same promotion for 10 cities in Colombia and all copies sold out in 6 months. Which were already accequibles for sectors in Europe, Asia, North America and South America. In this year he joined the band Juan Arroyave (Guitar).2008 - In the month of June REVENGE is invited to "Guayaquil Resistance Fest" in the city of Guayaquil - Ecuador, leaving high the Colombian Metal with all roots style 80's with a very good acceptance from the scene of this country. In October the album "Bang Your Head" special deluxe edition contained music videos, live tracks, subjects studied, multimedia and special collector's box for all the headbangers in the underground world of Metal is launched, this edition was pressed by the rat seal mutant records which sold out in two months, this presentation already had more strength to be gained from more than 18 countries in the world where the name of REVENGE was still growing as their music wafted.2009 - After continuing to work with several labels in the dissemination and distribution REVENGE launches the album "Death Sentence" and the various editions come in vinyl format seals Floga Records (Greece) and Iron Bonehead Prod (Germany).2010 - Appeared on DVD "Eaten Cold Is Good." The global distribution was already organized way in more than 30 countries and seal a deal with the Brazilian Kill Again Records who pressed 1,000 copies of the album "Death Sentence" is beginning. Enter Daniel Hernandez (drums).2011 - Sale album "Metal is Addiction and Obsession" which is reissued on CD and LP by labels like Mutant Rat Records, and Kill Again Records Floga. Participating in this year's CD compilations and splits.2012 - Launches the album "Vendetta" which is released on CD by the Mutant Rat Records and Kill Again (Brasil) LP label and black label and splatered by Floga Records (Greece).2013 - After being in several events, local festivals and concerts in Colombia, in June I make the tour of Argentina and Paraguay having very good results and I make a deal with the Argentinean label Total Desaster Prod who edited 1,000 copies of the first album "Metal Warriors ". Enter the band Juan Figueroa (Guitar) and ending the year REVENGE Launches EP entitled "Satan's Soldiers Under Command" which sold in just 3 months plus the band positioning in global metal scene.2014 - several reissues and new band realeses by national and international labels were made and the band enters Esteban Muñoz (guitar) and work on composition of upcoming album which will be titled "Harder Than Steel" starts, this year at the Rock al Parque festival is interpreted the song "Metal Warriors" by the tribute band to Metal Medellin.

The fact that there are not only drug gangs in Medellín, Colombia, but also great metal bands is no longer a secret. However, some bands from the area are insider tips, as I only recently realised again.Well, REVENGE is perhaps not the most imaginative name for a band, and there are or have been at least twenty bands that have adorned themselves with this moniker. This REVENGE has been around since 2002 and Night Danger is their tenth studio album.And if you like speed metal and are not averse to classic heavy metal, you should definitely pay attention here, because REVENGE offer a stylistically confident mixture of these two things. The combo certainly can't score any originality points, but they carve their songs into the ear canals with ice-cold precision. You can hear the musicians' experience in songwriting in the songs, because everything is just right here.The material is driving and gripping, shines with razor-sharp riffs, but also reveals enough melody. The music is also somewhat reminiscent of Swedish bands from the New Wave of Swedish Heavy Metal - but a lot faster. Early ENFORCER come to mind. Especially when it comes to the vocals.The band bagged the album on their own, the third in a row. Perhaps they were no longer entirely satisfied with their long-standing label Rata Mutante Records, which has released five REVENGE albums. We don't know exactly. It doesn't matter, in a way. Because what the band has bagged here single-handedly doesn't have to shy away from comparison with label productions.And it doesn't matter at all that the band orientates itself on musical standards and rummages through the huge pool of old metal deeds, because the music is simply a lot of fun, lets all the shit that happens nowadays fade into the background and puts good old metal in the spotlight. And how much more does the metalhead who was imprinted with this music in the early 80s need? Innovation fetishists and fans of the strangest crossover constructs might call the music on Night Danger old-fashioned or clichéd, but REVENGE don't seem to care. This is a metal casting from the old melting pot that has been brushed to a high gloss with a new flex.On top of that, the production leaves nothing to be desired. The sound is clear, but not overproduced. There is still enough old-school charm at the start, which, together with modern recording technology, creates a sound that has to be just like this.
