GAME ON is a project by Swedish musician Peder Rongvall, a bassist who began his career with Vanity BLVD. He has played in various local bands such as TAGGTRAD (a mix of punk, metal and pop). He played bass for BEDARANDE BARN and continued in a tribute band called NOICE FOREVER. He also embarked on a pop-rock project called EGANTLIGEN, where he played bass and other instruments. He is a very eclectic musical jack-of-all-trades. All these bands are still active with Peder. The GAME ON adventure began in 2019 with musician friends who started writing and playing together. You can imagine the time and organisation that this requires! Band started with an idea a couple of years ago.We include musicians we like and they vary from song to song. Pete Ash and drummer Michael J strandh is the only 2 musicians who appears on all our songs. We grew really fast from a national band to a international band.

Game On is a new swedish rock n roll act with lots of the attitude and influences from everywhere.Finally, this album was released on 30 November. It's almost self-produced, with limited resources but a beautiful result and obvious potential. It was thanks to Marc QUEE (PINK ROSE, ATTENTAT ROCK, ESCLAVITUD) that I discovered GAME ON. With the help of the ever-approachable and friendly Peder RONGVALL, I was able to get my hands on Cleaning Out The Closet. Watchdog grabs me by the throat right from the start, the sound is huge. Heavy, powerful guitars overflow from all sides. Johane HARALDSSON (EVERMORE) has a powerful voice. His tone has as much impact as the razor-sharp riffs. The chorus is well crafted. Wow! I'm impressed by this wall of guitars. The beautiful solo by Peter ESPINOZA (NASTY IDOLS, MAJESTIC, REINGOLD) is worth mentioning. I think these bands speak to you, don't they? The mixing by a certain NILLE is monumental. Eye In The Sky with Andreas LARSSON (TWINS CREW) is melodic power metal, with a chorus and effective backing vocals that stick in my brain. Another stunning guitar solo is also worth noting.You're The One features subtle keyboard work and the superb voice of Marc QUEE (who wrote the lyrics and melody). It's a very melodic track where Marc demonstrates his ability to sing in all styles. In my opinion, he's an atypical vocalist who is far too little recognised. The guitar solo is splendid. GAME ON kicks off again with the edgy Dancing With The Devil. I can feel the influences of BLOODBOUND, LAST TRIBE and DYNAZTY. Not bad for inspiration! That's how talented our Swedish composer is. The more glam-rock Climb That Pole is solid, vigorous and very rock “n” roll. The Swedish bands CRASHDIET and HARDCORE SUPERSTAR are hidden behind a raspy voice. The chorus is a direct uppercut! Watch out, the piano and the power ballad are coming. Love Of My Life respects the codes of the genre; I could easily see SLADE or MOTLEY CRUE singing this song. The melody is beautifully crafted, and the ‘masculine tenderness’ adds a surprising note. Like the solo, the exercise is a success with honours!‘Glam’ is precisely what we're talking about with the cover of SWEET's 1975 song Fox On The Run (No. 5 in the US, No. 2 in the UK, etc.). An excellent choice, as this track is a hit that perfectly suits the spirit of GAME ON. I love their interpretation! Livselixir really picks up the tempo! Pure, powerful power metal, sharp guitars, and masterful vocals. SONATA ARTICA and STRATOVARIUS for the Swedish fervour, and EDGUY and AVANTASIA for the melody. Marc QUEE takes a heavier metal approach on Lights On. I recognise his voice on this energetic track. The sound is heavy and colossal once again! The ingenious break and dazzling solo give the composition a new lease of life. The vocalist from ATTENTAT ROCK once again gives a fine performance on the anthemic and very heavy S.T.A.R..Demons kicks off with keyboards and a more crystalline guitar. Marc plays more on sensitivity and melody. The track is almost melodic hard rock à la DYNAZTY, KISSIN' DYNAMITE or PRETTY MAIDS when they tackle this register. The chorus is superb, it's hard to resist. The guitar solo, with its finesse and feeling, is very appealing. GAME ON ends with a bang with Fuck Off And Die, with its crazy energy, tempo and devastating chorus. Hard rock “n” roll comes crashing in from all sides. The solo is scorching, it's on fire! Fifty minutes that fly by, given the extreme quality!An excellent album despite the large number of contributors, all of whom are astonishingly talented, yet which maintains incredible musical consistency. Peder is a daring, tenacious, passionate, unifying and talented artist. Despite limited resources, he has managed to produce a surprising and impressive album. Peder fully deserves my support. He is the perfect example of why our site exists. Discovering and showcasing new talent is one of our principles. Thank you also to him for keeping hard rock alive. I hope that labels will take an interest in this album and in Peder RONGVALL.
