Rise of the Wood is a 5-strong formation from the Western part of the Netherlands, whose band members have their roots in earlier Metal, Punk and Prog Rock bands.These influences are mixed together by Rise of the Wood into a raw, steamy sauce! From the start in December 2014, their popularity has increased quickly. Countless stages were rocked off their socks with their fine-tuned and energetic stage act, with a few highlights, including Waterpop, Dijkrock and Westerpop and the release of a well-received EP. In addition, ROTW has also successfully entered in several competitions.

In 2017, the band Rise Of The Wood made a name for itself with its debut album First Seed. Several years have passed since then, and the lineup has changed considerably. Dennis Davidse now plays bass guitar, and singer/guitarist Leo Gstrein joined the band a few years ago.From South Holland, the band continues to fire off a fresh dose of rock/metal at the listener. Diverse, energetic, groovy, but above all melodic. Two years ago, we reported on the single Sleep. A single that can be heard on the new album Discharge, which will be released on August 21.The new lineup, with Leo Gstrein on vocals, promises great things. Fans of Queens Of The Stone Age, Red Fang, Alice In Chains, and Mastodon can look forward to August 21.Melodic Rise of the Wood is a South Holland based band that manoeuvres between rock and metal. Sometimes more rock, sometimes more metal. But always diverse, energetic, groovy, melodic, and hard-hitting! With some casual shout-along passages to truly evoke exuberant public participation. Hell yeah!!
