Album:
Sometimes the best albums are released with almost zero promotion. One of these is “Echoes Of The Machine“, the debut album from HATRED’S RISE.Hatred’s Rise is a Metal Project created by Canadian Pat Larocque with guest appearances by various world-renowned artists from the genre. Larocque is a renowned session musician and recording engineer with over 20 years experience in the professional music industry as a touring / session / fill-in musician with companies such as Warner, Capitol, Metal Blade and Century Media Records.Larocque’s vision for Hatred’s Rise is to bring back the traditional ’80s melodic metal sound spiced with the good melodic side of thrash metal, like Megadeth, Testament and Metallica. “Echoes Of The Machine” features 10 elaborated pieces of melting metal, of course, perfectly produced and executed.Helping to materialize Larocque’s own music on “Echoes Of The Machine” there’s great metal vocalists Henning Basse (Firewind, Gamma Ray, Metalium) and Mike DiMeo (Riot, Masterplan), guitarist Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth, ex-King Diamond), drummer Shawn Drover (ex-Megadeth, Withering Scorn), among others. Larocque play guitar, and all is really well glued. And we said ‘the best albums’ above as “Echoes Of The Machine” is one of best melodic metal records we heard in recent time. Hatred’s Rise is not a ‘band’, but a killer project with punchy metallic songs and a modern huge sound. There’s a thrash metal touch underlying all over the record providing a great atmosphere, enhancing the already potent attack of the songs. This may be an indie release, but sounds million bucks.
