Polish melodic glam hard-rockers Jaywalk have inked a deal with Metallic Blue Records and are gearing up to release their debut full-length album Walk It Hard! on June 20, 2025. The band consists of Lukasz “Luke” Krol (lead vocals), Marcin “Red” Redkiewicz (guitar), Piotr ”Peary” Gargala (bass) and Tomasz “Tommy” Gargala (drums).If you like your melodic glam metal super catchy with top notch vocals, stellar guitar playing with a super solid rhythm section and huge backing vocals that just make you want to sing along, the album Walk It Hard! by the Polish band Jaywalk is right up your alley. At a time when rock bands play sugary radio junk or extreme metal, Jaywalk caters to the needs of ‘middle-of-the-road’ people who like strong guitar riffs and a pulsating rhythm section combined with catchy choruses and catchy melodies. The band recorded some of the songs in 2012/2013, but then they took a break and the project of releasing a full album froze.Last year a friend of the band encouraged the guys to send a tape to reissue label Metallic Blue Records, and a deal crystallized to finally release ”Walk it Hard!”.With fine musicianship and an obvious love for ’80s rock n’ roll songwriting this CD has something for everyone. From the commercial radio-friendly catchiness of “Knocked Out By Your Love” and up-tempo, attitude-driven rockers like “Fast Lane Ride” or “Make My Nite”, to more AOR / pop-metal tunes such as “Tell Me” or “This Time I Mean It”, JAYWALK rocks.You have a US metal type of song on “Ever Again”, then a bluesy / country “Tuff Luck”, and of course a power ballad in “Where’s This Love”, to more slow and groovy hard rockers in “Sweet n’ Pretty” and “Booze Me Up”.A very diverse record, everyone into the classic ’80s rock will definitely find something they like.
