Anguish Project, a project led by bassist, lyricist and composer Kaô (ex-Venus) and completed by Sergio Faga (vocals, Children Of The Beast), Denis Okuma (guitar) and Fred Barion (drums), debuts with the project ‘What's Believing?’.The project is inspired by philosophical and psychological theories and, according to mentor and bassist Kaô, the name Anguish Project reflects the ideas of thinkers such as Schopenhauer and Freud. ‘Schopenhauer describes life as intrinsically linked to suffering, where brief moments of pleasure are only intervals in the face of unhappiness. Freud, on the other hand, explores the conflict between the Id, which represents desires, and the Superego, which symbolises repression, with the Ego seeking balance in this constant clash, generating what he calls anguish,’ he explains.The composition and musical arrangements for the project's debut album, ‘What's Believing?’, are by Kaô, with Edu Falaschi and Sergio Faga collaborating on the vocal arrangements. The lead vocal is by Sergio Faga, Tito Falaschi recorded the drums, bass and guitars. Nei Medeiros played keyboards. Gustavo Sazes is responsible for the graphic design. Sound engineering was in the hands of Roy Z (Halford, Bruce Dickinson) and Tito Falaschi. Mixing was also done by Roy Z at Mountain View Studio, and mastering by Maor Appelbaum and John Douglass.

Keyboards were contributed by Nei Medeiros, with additional input from Fabio Cardia.
