Frozen Tears is a stunning pure AOR band that hails from Melbourne. There is some mention of this band in the press as being an AOR band. Perhaps the monicker suggests this is the case, but I'm not sure I agree with this tag. Fairly heavy handed effort by this Melbourne trio, who judging by the liner notes, have some pretty impressive friends in the biz, well Thanis does anyway. And good on him! And good on him also for getting this 15 track effort, all 72 minutes worth, out on CD. I always admire someone for making an effort in the music industry, otherwise I wouldn't have a job reviewing this album!

Aussie rockers Frozen Tears consisting of lead vocalist Thanis Akritidis and guitarist / keyboardist Jon Powers have unveiled their new single “Feel The Fire” from their upcoming reimagined, remixed and remastered version of their debut album Silence of The Night. The “new” album has been dubbed Silence of The Night – Turbo Deluxe Edition and will be released via MR Records on October 26, 2023.Frozen Tears‘ debut album was released back in 1997 and a remastered version was later launched on March 2, 2017. Silence of The Night – Turbo Deluxe Edition can be pre-ordered via MR Records‘ website. Drummer Bernie Goldstein and bassist Andy Parsons are listed as additional musicians on the album. Powers handled the bass and Glenn Weldman played the drums on the bonus track “Feel The Fire.”The following message was posted on Frozen Tears‘ Facebook page back on October 10, 2023 (with slight edits): “To all you rockers out there — Finally this will be released next week on Thursday 19th October, our first Single from our Re-Release of Silence of the Night our first CD, but it has been reenergized and remixed and remastered… The full length CD will be released a week later on the 26th October ….so we hope you love the tune and like what we have done to improve what was already a solid debut CD…..”
