Created in 2015 around a good beer, the french band Blind Wisdom was born from the passion for Power Metal shared by four friends. Inspired by bands like Gamma Ray, Helloween, Primal Fear and many others, the band oscillates between Power, Heavy and Speed metal.Four years later, the band adds its first stone to the great monument of Metal with a first 5-track EP released in March 2019. Great Heavy / Power metal debut album released December 17, 2021.Formed in 2015, the Perpignan band Blind Wisdom was born from a passion for Power Metal shared by four friends. Inspired by a lineage of bands like Gamma Ray, Helloween, Running Wild and many others, the band oscillates between Power, Heavy and Speed metal. French power metal has a bright future ahead of it. The Perpignanese deliver a solid album with "Long Before The Last Dragons".Helloween with a French twist?Let's go to Perpignan, its heat, its traditions, its rugby... and a nice musical surprise called Blind Wisdom (or "sagesse aveugle" in French).The French band was formed in 2015 and has four members: Christophe Marty on vocals and guitar, Sylvain Roques on drums, Jean-Louis Navarro on guitar and Lénaïc Schatt on bass.After a first EP in 2019, the band has decided to release its first album in December 2021, taking the five songs from its EP and completing it with six new tracks.Musically, our friends from Perpignan borrow from the speed and aggressiveness of Helloween, the melody of Gamma Ray and the lyrical side of Blind Guardian. How can one remain insensitive to such influences? Blind Wisdom easily surprises by the professionalism of this album: the production is in the hair, the choruses make us vibrate, the band shows us its technicality.Are you skeptical? Then go and listen to the track "Not Alone", it has all the characteristics of a good power metal band.Power metal and fantastic-medieval sounds go hand in hand. Like Helloween and their "Keeper of the Seven keys" albums, we dive into a heroic fantasy universe and atmosphere.The martial and warlike side is accentuated on tracks such as the powerful "Abnegation" or "Every End Is a New Beginning", which are full of heavy metal sounds.Blind Wisdom is the standard bearer of French power speed with this album. This Helloween-like style is not the most common in France. Blind Wisdom saw the opportunity and defends its colours.However, we have a small reservation concerning the length of this album: 1h07! For a power-speed metal album, the pace may put some people off. Nevertheless, don't miss the last tracks of "Long Before The Last Dragons", it would be a shame to miss these little musical gems.
