The RUBICON group first started at the dawn of the new millennium and has not stopped since then! Having gone through numerous line-up changes, searches for their own sound, creative crises, ups and downs, RUBICON is spreading its wings again! All these years, the guiding star of the group has been and remains the true, uncompromising and eternally alive HEAVY METAL!At the dawn of the 2000s, when the fire of the Metal underground was able to melt even the Siberian permafrost, in one of the remote areas of Krasnoyarsk, lost in the snows, four young metallers founded the first RUBICON lineup, heading for epic heavy / doom metal. Then, in the spring of 2002, a 2-song cassette Demo "Trail" was recorded, which is now a rarity. This was followed by numerous concert performances at city and regional venues (DEATHLOCATION festivals, Pulsar, etc.), frequent line-up changes (today the only member of the original RUBICON line-up is vocalist and mastermind of the band Ivan “Yan” Bulankov), experiments with the style: introduction of Power, Progressive elements as well as Industrial metal. In 2010, an experimental internet single "T-800" was released in the style of modern-heavy / industrial metal. In 2015, having finally formed their own original sound, the band began recording their first full-length album, which later received the name "Welcome To Wasteland". It took 3 years to create and finalize the LP, and the debut album, the style of which the musicians themselves describe as Dark Heavy Metal, was released in early 2018. The release took place in May on the Russian label NARCOLEPTICA & MORE HATE prods.In 2018, mega-musician Dima Belf (IZMOROZ, ASHEN LIGHT, IMPERIAL AGE) joins the group as bass guitarist and producer, thus marking a qualitatively new round in the history of the band! With the new line-up, the team performs on the Moscow stage for the first time (a professional video from the concert is available for viewing on youtube as "RUBICON - Live in Moscow 2018") and also appears on the pages of the leading heavy music publication - DARK CITY magazine!RUBICON is currently working with Belfe and guest guitarist Bob Saliba (France. Galderia, Ninmah, Stonecast) on a new album, DEMONSTAR, due in 2020! Welcome To Wasteland is the debut full-length album of the Siberian band RUBICON. The musicians describe their direction as Dark Heavy Metal - a dark, "theatrical" genre that combines the influences of such giants as King Diamond, Black Sabbath, Dio, Savatage. The lyrics of the group deserve special attention, based on a fusion of fantasy, science fiction and mysticism, the lyrics of many songs are inspired by the works of Stephen King, Clive Barker, Phillip K. Dick, and others.Recommended for everyone who is interested in dark, atmospheric, "unconventional" Heavy Metal!Demonstar is the second full-length album by the metal band RUBICON, which now includes French guitarist Bob Saliba (Galderia), bassist and arranger Dmitry Belf, and session American guitarist Richard Fischer (Midnight Eternal), thus transforming it into a project international scale!
