Bio:

The band was founded in the late fall of 2005. The founding members were Nils Peter Potter (vocals), Marc Brunke (drums), Julian Grant (guitar), Jan Hein (then guitar, keyboards today) and Martin Simon (then only Bass, today also singing). Under this line the first cover songs were rehearsed. 2006, however, left Nils Peter Töpfer the band and Philipp angel took his place one in March of 2006. The first appearance graduated Cambrian victorious on 17th July 2006 in a band Battle. Due to style differences also Philipp Engel left the band after the second joint appearance again. He later founded the band with other musicians Sylent Noise. In addition to the Bass Martin Simon also took up an additional position of the singer. Another guitarist joined in September 2006. Martin Simons brother Karsten the band and Jan Hein moved to the keyboard. After moving into a new rehearsal room Jan Hein began to write her own songs for the band, which was first performed publicly in November of 2006. The band was strengthened and it was followed by other performances. To be organized by Marc Brunke and Jan Hein Forest Fire Open Air in 2007 Cambrian occurred exclusively on its own titles and in October released their first mini demo. In the course of 2008, the band was working on more songs and separated in November of their previous drummer Marc Brunke. In 2009, Fabien Chmiel the position of drummer.Since 2010, Martin Simon is also a bassist and second vocalist of death metal band Sariel. On 25 February 2011, the band began in Osterode Harz in Metal Sound studio with the recordings for their debut album Shadowpath. The work was completed after nine days. The album contains ten tracks, was released in June 2011th In August, the band signed a record deal with the label Massacre Records. On 28 January 2012, the band won the Devil's Wall Trophy in Osterode the audience award, thus securing an appearance at Walpurgis Rock Festival in Bad Grund. On October 18, 2013, the second album was released called Dark Reveries. Album:

You are an absolute traditionalist in terms of Metal? The most untreated retro sound is exactly your thing, modern productions with a fat sound are a horror to you? Death Metal is for you only without the nasty word "Melodic" in front of it, maybe with the exception of DISSECTION? Keyboards, orchestras and choirs have lost absolutely nothing in Metal for you? Then "Dawn of the Five Suns", the fourth work of KAMBRIUM, and you probably no longer friends in this life. Anyone else who wants to know if the band can get on with it after three strong long players should definitely keep reading.Somehow it is idle to debate whether a relatively smooth sound with an infinite number of tracks full of genre-foreign instruments is ok, or just does not work. KAMBRIUM is not very interested in this, in the circle-turning discussion, as they also betray in our interview to the new album "Dawn of the Five Suns". The guys from the seething metal metropolis Helmstedt (höhö) are just up for epic sound. Instead of the almost constantly sung Scandinavian deities, the concept of the album revolves around the mythology of the Maya. The sparingly but effectively used samples and some oriental instruments make it possible to set the world of South American rainforests to music.Compared to its predecessors, the folk part in the melodies has been screwed back a little. Nearly less ENSIFERUM and more WINTERSUN widescreen sound. Similarities to their "Time I" appear again and again. Overall, it was apparently focused more on conclusive songwriting. Above all, the epic choir choruses, more than once reminiscent of ORDEN OGAN, which can be found in almost every song, ignite immediately and tear with. In fact, this is also one of the few points of criticism, as a strong similarity of the individual pieces with each other thereby can not be dismissed out of hand. Towards the end, however, the instrumental "Nocturnal Woods" again introduces an album section in which the degree of hardness increases significantly and some song structures are broken up. In "Blood Soaked Goddess" the band's death metal base is most apparent, even some black metal riffing can be heard here. The right sound for such a complex undertaking is probably one of the biggest challenges. Kristian Kohlmannslehner, who in the past u.a. already responsible for various albums of POWERWOLF, mastered this outstanding. Although a lot of things happen, every instrument can be heard even from the largest sound walls and the guitars do not have to strike the sails in the mix against the mighty orchestra group. Only the keyboards that accompany some guitar solos (including in "Dawn of the Five Suns" and "Lord of Mictlan") unfortunately sound more than once very dubious.Just great, thrilling songs - "Dawn of the Five Suns".With "Dawn of the Five Suns", KAMBRIUM consistently continue on their chosen path - a path that should make them one of the next "big things" in the field of epic metal. If you want to get started with EQUILIBRIUM, but just want to hear less drama songs and more Death Metal, you will be served great here. Some will surely come back with "Wackenisierung des Metals" or something similar, but in the end it's all about great, gripping songs, which are abundant here. The venues in which KAMBRIUM play should be much bigger in the near future, and certainly not wrongly!
