Niviane (pronounced nih-vy-anne) is an American power metal band hailing from Sacramento California formed in the fall of 2014. Guitarists Mark Miner & Claudeous Creamer along with bassist Rick Stallkamp created the core sound by melding together their collective influences of classic heavy metal along with modern European metal to produce what has been branded “A new breed of American Power Metal”.In the following months the band recruited drummer Mark Sprague and began writing many of the songs that would later appear on the debut album. The fledgling act still needed a moniker and the name "Niviane" was suggested by guitarist Claudeous Creamer. The final piece of the puzzle had yet to be found, but as fate would have it in the spring of 2015 vocalist Norman Skinner was preparing to start a new project and was contacted by an associate of the band. Within a week the two camps had demoed 3 songs and the original full Niviane line-up was born.Two months later on May 15th, 2015 the band debuted their music live for the first time at The Knitting Factory in Reno, Nevada. Delivering a high-energy performance complete with duel lead guitar attacks and high-soaring vocals, the band began a run of successful show dates. Niviane continued to perform live and write for the debut album through the end of 2015.The group in its infancy was gaining much deserved attention but with a new year came a new line-up. 2016 would begin with Claudeous Creamer & Mark Sprague parting ways with the band and being replaced by guitarist Gary Tarplee & drummer Noe Luna. Without missing a step the band continued forward, performing live while completing the writing process and pre-production for their first album.In May 2016 the band entered Alien Productions Studios with JK Northrup at the helm to begin recording the debut album “The Druid King”. Upon completing a majority of the tracking the decision was made to recruit the talents of Aaron Robitsch to write and record keyboards for the album. The album was completed in March 2017 with a planned release by the end of the year through a yet unnamed label.Niviane continues to perform live throughout the West coast region, diligently working to expand their fan base while writing for the next album

NIVIANE is a Power Metal band from Sacramento California in the United States of America, making their debut in to the Metal multiverse with their first record, “The Druid King”, an amazing blend of all the elements that make two things like fantasy and the ever-longing quest of what it means to be a warrior in both the fantasy world of their lyrics and the Metal Scene all over the world that greets the arrival of this bands first full-length album. The title track and final composition for this album are an embodiment of what feeling Power Metal is all about to perform it, an undying energy from the members of NIVIANE. Grade “A” Melodic Heavy Metal from the land of the free and the home of the brave, from a place you would hardly imagine producing such fine Power Metal, especially and most of all identifying with a genre mostly associated to European bands today, with all the Italian invasion of the genre, and the little participation in this intricate branch of Metal musicians hailing from the country that has given so much to Metal in other times.A strong influence from JUDAS PRIEST and some of the most ground shaking screamers and shriekers of Metal Music, the amount of capacity displayed by these musicians leads me to think that maybe the US should be focusing more on promoting these great bands from across their territory rather than spending so much time arguing about what is and isn’t politically correct anymore. The song “Into Twilight” is from beginning to end a delight to listen to, the energy, the rhythm, and the melody that all notes have seem like a design from another world, a more civilized world. The way the guitars break the song in half with a riff that seems out of the fiery maws of a dragon laying waste to a certain city that dared to stand in defiance, along with the lyrics and the melody of the verse in a song full of brawn, might and the features that allow us to see professionals doing what they do best, deliver a galaxy of notes delivered straight to the soul of their listener.An outstanding work of production and multiple talents arranged in order to give birth to a record as this, makes an honor to welcome these mythical warriors to the Metal Temple, good to know Power Metal is alive and the flame is still burning in the Lone Star State.
