The Waiting Rain formed in 1988 started out as Caragorgya and moved from Skellefteå to Göteborg in 1991. A melodic straightforward hard rock band, influenced by The Cult. On the album they had some guest musicians from bands like Tornado Babies, Mary Beats Jane, The Leather Nun etc. The band split in 1994. Davidsson has since recorded lots of material under his own name, but in a synth-pop-oriented vein.This Scandinavian band was at the time playing a dark and gloomy kind of rock with influences from Sisters of Mercy and such. The band was dissolved in 1994 and reunited in 2012 and now finally in 2016 it is time for their second album release in twenty years. The album, titled Solid Brick Wall, offers the listeners a straightforward, excellently produced and devotedly performed melodic heavy metal.
