The Demigodz
The Demigodz are an underground hip-hop supergroup based out of Connecticut, Boston, NYC, and L.A. Membership is somewhat nebulous and has changed several times throughout the years.Originally founded in 1990 by two Connecticut teens; Reflex and Open Mic (known then as Jedi). Calling themselves “The Nobility,” they were heavily influenced by the progressive hip-hop of the time, including Public Enemy and the Native Tongues Posse. The duo recorded countless demos in Reflex’s garage with the song lyrics focusing on science fiction and conspiracy theories.In an attempt to be heard they hooked up with University of Connecticut radio DJ Cool C to showcase their songs over the local college airwaves. The buzz being created by the airtime resulted in numerous battles with local MCs which also increased the recognition of the increasingly-popular teens. It was also during this time that Open Mic renamed the group “The Demigodz,” taking inspiration from one of his own verses.During their high school years the group expanded with the additions of New London County lyricists; Feedback & De Ja Vu who were involved in the recording of the Demigodz: Coming Like A Storm To Your City demo. One day when the tape was playing on UConn’s 97.1 radio station it caught the ears of a young aspiring rapper named Apathy.
Project OxiD:
PRoject OxiD is musical project founded in Komsomolsk-na-Amure (Russia) in 2007 by Orobets Konstantin the multi-instrumentalist. Orobets is known as DJM.I. (DJ Make Illusional). Originaly PRoject OxiD used to be instrumental band and played Industrial Metal mixed with breaks and some elements of hip hop. The project is in Nahodka at the present time. One and only debut album Reality recorded in 2009 didn’t succeed. The album was of multiple style. In 2010 PRoject OxiD turned out album Stereo Shock that conducted a revolution of two different genres such as Indsutrial metal and Rapcore. So, with this thing the band become remix band making music from hip hop to rapcore and from electronic music to metal. In 2011 PRoject OxiD puts out album Welcome To The Megadef with cooperation of Styles Of Beyond. Next 2 cd album were produced in the end of the 2011. The latest album Murder Music was produced in the summer 2012 is a new stage in creation work of the band. This album was greeted Nu Metal fans. Linkin Park, Fear Factory, Crossbreed, The Prodigy, Crystal Method, Meanpeace, X-ecutioners inspired DJM.I in music creation.
