Xiphea is a German symphonic band. The four musicians are: Renè, Neil, Thamas and Sabine. They started their project in 2011 and decided to name the band Xiphea, after a brave, strong, gentle and loving female figure. Once Sabine created her for a song. They still tell the legend of Xiphea with songs and a continuing fairytale.

Xiphea is not measured by newcomers standards, at least not as far as originality and skill at singing and instrument. The diversity of the album is huge. And the band proves that she has found her own style: Symphonic Metal, but exceptional at the fabulous Art Sabine Meusel voice contributes a lot to this impression, a high soprano with a lot of vibrato.. This is accompanied by drums, guitar, bass, piano, choirs, flutes, stringed and wind band - especially the latter rarely heard and contribute to the uniqueness of some songs on. In addition, sophisticated instrument and rhythm changes; 3-part vocal parts; the really thrilling, almost uplifting songwriting, which instruments, rhythms and text masterfully woven together. Until a new, larger whole arises, the faster, fresher and livelier sounds than anything I've heard so far from the genre.Therefore, it is difficult to find a comparable band, but if you like Indica, which here is absolutely at the right place and at any Nightwish fan should at least check it out.The themes of the songs are also kept very magical. In addition, Xiphea even a legendary figure from one of the band is sprung fairy tale.However, a few weaknesses bring the troops still in the mix with the voice sometimes disappears behind the concentrated power of the instruments. The ballad of the album (Butterflies) falls in my opinion, clearly the weakest song from the album out just what concerns the Originaltät. At times I noticed also that the songs build up a high energy that unfortunately does not lead to the powerful riffs of the chorus but just go with the melody starts again from 0 - pity, since these ups and downs the listener on a permanent effort and in some places is disappointing.I say nothing to intentionally times the orchestras of the can - because that a newcomer band who can not afford to hire a philharmonic, is self-evident. Instead, I am talking about the potential that can exploit the band in ways more!
