Stormhunter is a German Power Heavy Metal band, founded in 1998 by guitar players Stefan Müller and Achim Heinzelmann. After a first demo tape "First Battle" in 2001 and several concerts, Stormhunter appeared on two compilations (The Reaper Comes from Heavy Horses Records and United We Are from Métal Intégral).In 2002, Stefan Müller, as a last founding member, left the band. The other members took a new direction after changing the band's name to Subsphere.In 2007, Stefan Müller decided to reactivate Stormhunter and wrote new songs, heavily influenced by early Helloween and Running Wild. Finally, in 2009, Stormhunter recorded their first album "Stormhunter". The lineup at this time was Frank Urschler on vocals, Andreas Kiechle on drums, Julia Weiss on guitar, Denno on bass and Stefan Müller on guitar.With the second album "Crime And Punishment", which was released in 2011 through EmanesMETAL Records (France) and Spiritual Beast (Japan), Stormhunter finally became a real band, featuring Frank Urschler on vocals, Andreas Kiechle on drums, Julia Weiss on guitar and Stefan Müller on guitar.Between 2011 and 2014, Burkhard Ulrich joined on bass. Later, Burkhard and Julia switched their positions before Julia left Stormhunter to concentrate more on her private life.The vacant position on bass was taken over by Fritz from Nuclear Warfare, a friend that helped out Stormhunter at several occasions in the past. The recordings for the third album "An Eye For An I" began in February 2014 with the participation of Frank Urschler on vocals, Andreas Kiechle on drums, Burkhard Ulrich on guitar, Fritz on bass and Stefan Müller on guitar.2014, Stormhunter, still featuring their influences of early Helloween and Running Wild, while still coming up with melodies and catchy choruses, added a more aggressive note to their songs - mainly on the vocals.

An Eye For An I, the third studio album from German power metal band Stormhunter, is out now, and includes 12 songs kept in the best German metal tradition, with both catchy melodies and choruses, and aggressive vocals.
