Bio:

Majesty (also known as Metal Force between 2008 and 2011) is a heavy metal band from Germany. The band is heavily influenced by Manowar both musically and lyrically, and even had former Manowar guitarist Ross "The Boss" Friedman appear on their second album, Sword & Sorcery. They call their music True Metal (which is a common term in the Heavy Metal scene[citation needed] for traditional heavy metal or power metal with idealized, traditional and fantasy based lyrics and stage-appearance) and the band is usually dressed in leather. The band leader Tarek Maghary also organizes a festival called Keep It True. It is named after a song from Metal Force and features traditional heavy metal bands, often reunions or rare appearances of US metal bands.Tarek Maghary is also the author of the Dawnrider project, a metal concept album featuring many other musicians like Rob Rock, Ross The Boss, Michael Seifert (Rebellion). Other contributors are from Manilla Road, Wizard, Helstar and Paragon.During Magic Circle Festival 2008 the band announced that they had changed their name from "Majesty" to "Metal Force".However, in 2011 they announced that they were once again continuing as "Majesty".In 2013 they released a new album, Banners High.In March 2015 the band's ninth studio album, "Generation Steel" will be released via NoiseArt Records. A single and music video for, "Hawks Will Fly" was released on the 28th of February.

Album:

After a brief stint as METAL FORCE, the German outfit returns to the name MAJESTY to unload a dual disc, complete with greatest hits, a pair of new songs, trio of reworked classics, as well as old bonus-only and early demo tracks, 27 in total. Makes it a convenient point, for those that have previously ignored the band, to jump onboard, otherwise an non-essential purchase. Singer Tarek Maghary also organizes the Keep It True (also the name of the Majesty debut!) festival, so you’ve got an idea of the traditional based (some say MANOWAR-inspired: ‘Reign In Glory’) flavor. Like their heroes, their favorite musical form is featured prominently in the titles and lyrics. Case in point, ‘Metal Law’ kicks things off, with a guest appearance by Udo Dirkschneider in the chorus. Said track seems to be an attempt to find a hymn/anthem for the festival (as many of the Deutsche events have), although ‘Keep It True’ is also presented here. A somewhat binary approach, either speedy fist thrusters or plodding, flag waving anthems, Majesty are better at the former. One notable exception is the 9:04 piano accompanied ‘Aria Of Bravery’: big concept, a little weak in execution (especially black metal shriek). ‘Hellforces’ is when they get it right. The two mid-tempo newbies include, ‘Own The Crown’ a chest beating ode, the titular phrase repeated throughout the chorus and ‘Metal On The Road’, an autobiographical (?) tale of the band’s live exploits.

The limited first pressing includes a bonus disc with five acoustic tracks! Let`s simply put it this way: teutonic keepers of the true steel MAJESTY don`t just release albums – they deliver one manifesto after the other! The fivepiece is fighting a grim battle against zeitgeist and simply everything that might water down their sound and concept: MAJESTY live for metal, and their seventh studio album “Generation Steel” proudly showcases that.

Album:

Unboxes limited "Rebels" boxset, including the new album, a redesigned MAJESTY Keep It True CD 2017.Fans of HammerFall or Manowar, this promo we have received directly from Majesty is for you. Keep It True (first track & record title) will immediately put you in comfort. Heavy metal, mid-tempo song, "square-metal" to the bones and ... what a production, what a f**king great production. If only all independent records could sound like this one!Ok, we are diving in first Manowar's records and Majesty's music is coming straight from the 80's. So what? You know I like the 80's and if you don't ... skip to next review. At the end of this Keep It True, I could also do a parallel with another German band, Unrest. Even thought Majesty uses more the "double bass" rhythm, they play the same kind of metal.Hammerfall rhythm is also present, but Majesty plays much slower compare to the Swedish band, but lyrically I compare Majesty to Hammerfall. 8 songs! 8 hymns! 8 tracks devoted to ... METAL . Actually 7, as track number seven is a ballad (I don't know what is your opinion my dear readers, but these metal ballads seems to have become again ... a fashion.Apart the ballad, this record is a killer and should put Majesty under the spot light. Nothing new here, but if you like the above mentioned bands, this is a buy-or-die record. These guys Keep It True, not innovative for sure... but true. I don't think they will have difficulties to find a major label and I am already waiting for their next record... as quickly as possible guys!

Album:

German heavy metal icons Majesty used the two years since "Rebels" well: next to relentless touring, the five-piece got busy by pouring all its creativity into new and exciting material. "Legends" is the ninth Majesty studio album and leads all defenders of steel into a post-apocalyptic wasteland where mankind fights for a brighter future. After an atmospheric intro, exceptional singer Tarek Maghary and co dive headfirst into epic goodness with "Rizing Home" and deliver "Burn The Bridges" with catchy gusto and keyboards. "Legends" bravely continues down the path its predecessor paved and mixes Majesty trademarks such as soaring guitar solos and anthemic choirs with modern soundscapes and a massive, crystal-clear production. That's how real legends gotta sound!

Album:

It's been quiet around the metal heroes of Majesty for more than 3 years. After the band only wanted to take a one-year break after the Legends Tour at the end of 2019 to recharge the batteries, the guys, like the rest of the world, were pushed into a much longer hiatus by the pandemic. But they used this time extensively and worked on an album that perfectly combines all the things that the band stands for: catchy, big heavy metal anthems that catch you the first time you hear them and let you put your fist in the air paired with lyrics about the eternal fight for freedom and your way to live. The band states: "We are thrilled and extremely happy that after months of dedication and heart blood we finally can announce our new album 'Back To Attack'. With this album we managed to forge all that Majesty stands for into 11 songs which are destined to take the metal world by storm. To celebrate the release, we will play a massive release show on April 28 in the Posthalle Würzburg. This show will be a mighty heavy metal party where we play songs from the new album, but also all our classics and your favourite songs which unite us all as a metal union. More details about the show and also about the many great special guests joining us on stage will be announced soon. So, to sum it all up: the time of waiting is over, we are back to attack and can´t wait to see you all again very soon." The artwork of the album fits perfectly with the message of the music and the lyrics of Majesty: never let yourself be defeated and fight for your way to live. A way which means freedom.
