Info:
The Silent Rage is a modern power metal band hailing from Athens, Greece, being formed by Nikos Siglidis on February 2006. On September 2009 the band released the self-titled debut EP “The Silent Rage” which got impressive feedback from the media, globally. Two of the songs featured in compilations being released by Rock Hard Greece magazine and Hellenic Forces fanzine. A year after the release of the EP, the band shared the stage, with Shadow Gallery, on their first ever tour! Right afterwards the band recorded “Harvester Of Souls” EP, which was released on April 2011. The same day the band supported Rage & Grave Digger on their common headline show in Athens. This release received really good reviews and was featured for the first time in Burn! Magazine, Japan. The band has also made an appearance in Cyprus on June 2012. After the joining of Steve Venardo (ex.-Airged L’Amh, ex.-Valet Parn), on May 2013, the band has also shared the stage with Stratovarius (June 2013), and with Rotting Christ a couple of months later. After that show the band started to work on the material that was going to feature on their debut album, under the title “The Deadliest Scourge”. On August 2014 the band hit the famous Devasoundz Studios (SepticFlesh, Chaostar, Rotting Christ) in Athens, Greece under the guidance of Fotis Benardo (SiXforNinE, ex-SepticFlesh) & Thanos Jan (Inactive Messiah) to record, mix & master the album. Having also a small break from the recordings, the band managed to hit the stage and perform alongside Grave Digger for a second time. In the meantime Kostas Krikos joined the band as lead guitarist.
Album:
Athens, Greece-based melodic power metal band, The Silent Rage, have revealed the special guests participating on their upcoming album, The Deadliest Scourge.Apollo Papathanasio (Spiritual Beggars, ex-Firewind) – “He’s a singer with a voice that we all love. We asked Apollo to join our very own Steve Venardo on the track “Sin Of A Pilgrim” and he accepted immediately. The outcome is really breathtaking!”Yossi Sassi (ex-Orphaned Land) – “He’s without a doubt the godfather of the “oriental metal” genre. Yossi has given an Eastern touch to our ballad “Shadow Spirit”, by performing some mind travelling melodies on the Oud.”Vladimir Reshetnikov (Arkona, Rossomahaar) – “Alongside the magnificent Oud melodies of Yossi, Vladimir also performed on “Shadow Spirit”. The melodies on the Galician bagpipe (Gaita), and traditional Ukrainian flute called Sopilka are going to blow your mind.”Theophilos Kritikos (Feel) - “He’s the mastermind behind the opening intro track of the album, under the title “Signal Of War”. Theophilos created the perfect opening of our upcoming album.”The band has also scheduled a listening session for the local Greek media this Saturday (September 26th). After that, they will be officially in search of a record label.
