The band members, coming from various musical and stylistic backgrounds, combine their unique influences to a strong, diverse and catchy mixture under the unifying banner of heavy metal: Modern low guitar tunings mixed with melodic harmony leads and rhythms, from up-tempo to pounding heavy grooves, and the unique and strong voice of lead singer Matthias with his impressive vocal range and expression.This is not only the striking text line of the first track of the debut disc of Sons of Eternity, but also at the same time motto of the melodic / powermetal band from Germany: Fat guitar riffs, precise rhythms and critical lyrics make the stage tremble and ensure flying hair and raised fists!Sons of Eternity are no strangers: Here some greats of the Franconian rock and metal scene have come together to form a new "melodic powermetal supergroup": Singer Matthias "Schenky" Schenk, known from the hard rockers of Shylock, delivers his catchy hooklines with a high sing-along factor and always provides a stirring atmosphere with his charismatic stage presence.Guitarist Matthias "Church" Kirchgessner has worked as a studio and live musician in the past three decades in so many pop, rock & metal bands and productions that a detailed list would go beyond the scope. For example, he has worked for acts such as Haggard or Paul Dianno. His solo album „Tears of God“ was awarded Album of the Month in GITARRE & BASS Magazine January 2016.SOE's guitar duo is complemented by multi-instrumentalist Jonas Roßner, who worked as a keyboardist with the symphonic metal band Beyond the Black, among others, and at times also played the SOE bass in the band. He now provides the fat riffs on the rhythm guitar.Sons of Eternity's rhythm section consists of bassist Freddy Müller-Schartl, known from black metalists Apocrypha, and drummer Thomas Abts from prog metal veterans Crises.For the mix of the 11 songs of the debut disc "End of Silence" Sons of Eternity could win none other than metal producer legend Sascha Paeth from Avantasia, who has worked with Gamma Ray, Running Wild, Angra, Edguy and many more. He created a powerful yet transparent sound for „END OF SILENCE“, which emphasizes the quality of the song material and gives each title its own character.The different stylistic backgrounds of the individual members merge in Sons of Eternity to a broad, varied and exciting mix of styles. The band finds the big common denominator of influences in the classic metal of the 80s and 90s, in bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Blind Guardian, Queensryche or Helloween.But if you listen closely, you'll also find influences ranging from the broader past, like Led Zeppelin, to the modern era to Avenged Sevenfold or Bullet for my Valentine.The many years of stage experience of all band members can be felt at every minute in the live shows of Sons of Eternity, who know how to engage the audience from the first minute and make it an integral part.
