Soulmates is a musical project that was born on may 2012 from Mireia (Mireia Tortajada: Voice and composser) and Jus (Josep Roca Soler, music, composser and musical producer).The project appears to fulfill the promise that Jus did at Mireia some years earlier. When she was only 9 years old, she participated as soloist in a song entitled “Se hará realidad” ("Will come true"), composed by the Jus for his choir “Cor l’Amistat” (“Heart of Friendship”), from which he was the director and she was one of the components. From that moment Mireia became a regular soloist in the choir and a few years later, Jus promised her: "Someday I will produce an album".Years passed and the moment arrived, SOULMATES is already a reality.At the end of the 2011-2012 course, both friends began to think about what should be their first work, and what initially had to be a record of versions, ended up being an album with 12 themes of different styles, but with a single that identifies this pair of musicians, called "LOOKING FOR A NEW DAWN".The musical production, the creation of the musical bases and instrumentation was the work of Josep, who tried to get the most out of what each subject kept and wanted to express. The recording was done in the studio JUS Studio of Gava, for almost a year and a half, which allowed to create an ALBUM; not a set of singles united in the same CD. In addition, they had the collaboration, in some of the cuts, of great musicians such as Marc Sarri (Saxo), Bohdan Okrutnyy (Violin), Agusto Alcaraz (Guitar) and Lluis Naval (Drums).On February 22, 2014 at Espai Maragall de Gava, SOULMATES presented us his first album in his first concert and creating a truly fantastic show.For a year they continue to promote their first album until in July 2015 they decide to return to the studio to create their second album"SHARING A DREAM".On March 23, 2016 Sharing a Dream came to light.The new album with 12 innemate themes has the collaboration of great musicians such as Jordi Portaz, Gerard Mart, Juan Gonzalez, Javier Vaquero, the choir Heart of Friendship, the little one in just 5 years Mar Roca, the voice-off by Carlos Sianes and the new members of the band.Sharing a Dream retains the essence of Soulmates, but it is a more mature work, keeping the bass lines from the first album but with a clearer presence of the guitars, which make it a more "rock" album.After a year promoting the 2nd album of the group, Sharing a Dream, Mireia and Josep decide that it is time to go back to the studio to begin the composition of what should be the 3rd study work of the band.As of September 2016, they begin to compose new themes while combining these moments of creativity with different performances, among which the IN THE DARKNESS concert stands out: an innovative performance, a concert in the dark surrounded by a quadraphonic sound that allowed the Listener enter fully into the purest sound of Soulmates.Also during this period a new band is formed, which will be presented in November 2018.The third album named "FLIYING THROUGT THE LIGHT" is a work that reaffirms the sound of the band approaching it in the style of rock of the purest 80.They once again have great collaborations: Jordi Portaz returns to participate as a bass player in two of the songs on the disc accompanied by his colleague David Sim on drums, and also helps in the production and mastering tasks There are two duets: one with Nerea Rodriguez (ex-band choir) and another with Miguel Fargas (the singer from the band Please) accompanied by their guitarist Edu Zafra and also in the same subject we have the batteries of Juan Gonzalez and the saxof by Nestor Vinaixa.Xavier Vaquero returns to contribute his guitars this time on three issues and Laly Rodriguez does it on another topic.The vocal group of the Aula de Musica Soler composed by: Mireia Ballester, G�nia Gonzalez, Guillem Mart, Abril Morera, Arnau Morera and Marcel Portaz, collaborate in the choirs in some of the songs on the disc. And the little girl of 8 years, Mar Soler, repeats in this album.In addition to other surprises and bonus tracks.The band undergoes some significant changes, Biel who was our drummer takes the role of Josep's comrade-in-arms as guitarist, while his place is taken by Erik Moya and on the other hand we add a new bass player together with Gènia , Enric Pujola.In the summer of 2022 we plan to start our 4th album. STILL HERE is a 100% rock album, inspired by the great bands of the 80s such as: Bon Jovi, Queen, Toto or Journey... To date it is the most mature and worked album whose composition begins in the month of August 2022 and ends...

SOULMATES is a musical project formed a decade ago by female singer Mireia Tortajada and Josep ‘Jus’ Roca Soler (songwriter & producer). Hailing from Catalonia, Spain, the history of the band goes way back when Mireia was only 9 years old and she participated as soloist in a song entitled “Will come true” composed by Jus for his choir “Cor l’Amistat” (“Heart of Friendship”), from which he was the director. Since that moment Mireia became a regular soloist in the choir and a few years later, Jus promised her: “Someday I will produce you an album”.And that materialized at the end of 2012 in the form of the band SOULMATES, and the idea to record their first album. A band was assembled and the original idea was to make cover versions of legendary songs from their favorite bands: Bon Jovi, Queen, Toto, Journey… but ended up containing SOULMATES’ originals.The band experimented line up changes over the years but with Mireia & Jus always at front, and recorded 2 more albums.Now it’s time for their fourth entitled “Still Here“, featuring 11 tracks with that classic mid-Eighties American radio friendly sound, female fronted rock&pop, AOR, and melodic rock.Songs like “Born to Be Stars”, “You’re the Music of My Life” or “Into the Run” are sure to please fans from the genre with the smooth sweet voice of Mireia and the polished production.
