Bio:

Crazy Lixx is a Swedish glam metal band, formed in Malmö, Sweden in 2002. The group is another band belonging to the Swedish hard rock scene, with influences from bands like Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Kiss, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. Crazy Lixx have released a video clip for "Hell Raising Women", the first single from their upcoming album. The band's forthcoming self-titled studio album is due for release on November 7th in Europe and November 11th in North America through on Frontiers Music Srl.'Crazy Lixx' is the Swedish band's third release with Frontiers Music and is the follow-up to their 2012 masterpiece 'Riot Avenue'. That disc reached #4 on the Sleaze Roxx Top 10 of 2012 and was voted fourth best album of the year by readers of the website, trailing only Van Halen, KISS and Slash.Says lead singer and producer Danny Rexon, "We were discussing possible titles for the album and we didn't really feel like any of the suggestions were quite right. Then I came up with the idea of a making it a self-titled album and we all agreed this was the right time for one. You know, bearing the very name of the band, a self-titled album does have a lot to live up to, but we all felt that this album has what it takes to represent the band as a whole, both in terms of the songs, the sound and the performance."With their new album, Crazy Lixx show their growth as a band by sinking their teeth into eleven anthemic rock songs that will satisfy both the hardcore fans, as well as all fans of melodic hard rock and hair metal in general. By combining the strategies of recording and producing the album themselves, along with utilizing the mixing skills of the great Chris Laney, the band has once again returned to the bombastic sound of Crazy Lixx's earlier work while at the same time adding the improved song-writing and musicianship of today's Crazy Lixx."We learnt a lot through the years, especially when it comes to the recording process and we put all that knowledge and experience to use on this album. We used many different studio settings to record different parts of the album and did not rush the recording, but made sure everything was as good as it could get. At the same time we did not want to be too nitpicking with details, I mean we're still in the business of rock n' roll, right?," adds guitarist and co-producer of the album Andy Zata.In addition to returning to the old Crazy Lixx sound, the band has also re-recorded fan favorite "Heroes Are Forever" which was originally on the band's first, now out of print album. "It's this one song, that was our first single back in around 2006, that we've played on almost every live show we've done since then, but when we started to think about it, it was a song that a lot of our fans had no chance to ever listen to. The first album, 'Loud Minority', was released on a minor independent label, in a limited printing which has long since sold out, and it isn't available digitally either. Still we felt that the track was one of those songs that had a really fundamental Crazy Lixx vibe to it, so we decided to record it again and give the fans a nice treat. If you ask me, it came out way better this second time around," says drummer Joel Cirera.Newest and youngest member, bassist Jens Sjoholm adds, "Being my first album release with Crazy Lixx I don't really have any special expectations, but hearing the final result and seeing how fired up the guys are about it makes me look forward to seeing the reactions of the fans and media."With the addition of Jens Sjoholm and the return of original drummer Joel Cirera, Crazy Lixx Mk III proved to be the best line-up to date, both in concert and on record. "I think the fans will really enjoy what we've got in store for them with this album. Killer songs, great sound and memorable hooks combined with a bit of the twin guitar action and riff-based approach that we added to the sound on our last album," says guitarist Edd Liam."It's really a bit of a do or die, no guts, no glory situation -- after all, you only get one chance to do a self titled album, so make sure you do it good," concludes Danny Rexon.

Album:

Let the battle for Swedish rock supremacy begin! Even though there are countless talented rock bands pouring out of Sweden these days, in my opinion only three bands can rightfully claim to be the current kings of the castle. Those three are Hardcore Superstar, Crashdiet and Crazy Lixx – and all three are releasing, and or working on, new material in 2010, so this may be the year we can crown a champion!Crazy Lixx are the first to step up to the plate with their second full-length release, following the same formula that made Loud Minority an instant classic. With the tight production of Chris Laney (once again) this relatively new band have a perfectly polished sound. Occasionally I get the feeling that the band is being over-produced, but then they lay down a killer hard rock track and all is forgotten.Few bands are able to capture the sound of the ’80s as well as Crazy Lixx. It is the sound of huge sing-a-long choruses, furious guitar work (supplied by newcomer Andy Dawson, who replaced Vic Zino when he defected to Hardcore Superstar), and memorable songs. Crazy Lixx do it all, whether it be full throttle rockers, mid-tempo melody or heartfelt ballads, these four guys have created the ultimate recipe for success. “21 ‘Til I Die”, “Road To Babylon” and “Lock up Your Daughter” find the band at their rocking best while “Blame It On Love” has that obvious Laney feel dripping all over it. Slowly but surely Crazy Lixx are stepping into Def Leppard‘s shoes, filling the void that Lep vacated years ago. “My Medicine” and “Voodoo Woman” are perfect examples of that.I only have one complaint with New Religion, and that is a sound that is driving me bat-shit crazy in the percussion of “Rock And A Hard Place”. Is it just me, or does anyone else hear what appears to be the sound of a computer giving an error message throughout this track? It is subtle, but it’s making me insane as I find myself constantly listening for it, thus ruining an otherwise killer cut.So there you have it, yet another exceptional release from Crazy Lixx. Will New Religion set Crazy Lixx above their Swedish counterparts? That’s hard to say, but the bar has been set awfully high! If this truly is a ‘new religion’, bow down to your new maker — exceptional melodic rock.

Bio:

Crazy Lixx is a Swedish hard rock band, formed in Malmö, Scania in 2002. It's another band belonging to Swedish Hard Rock Scene, with influences from bands like: Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Kiss, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe.Crazy Lixx was founded in late 2002 by Dirt Child Danny and Vic Zino, in an attempt to bring back to the music scene a band that was true to the style 80's Hard Rock. So Joey Cirera was asked to be the drummer and the core of the band was formed. They began playing in establishments like any other band, only in 2007 released their debut album Loud Minority for a local label, Swedmetal Records. After a few shows with the band, Vic Zino left the band in 2009 because of disagreements, shortly after he was invited by the band Hardcore Superstar to take the place of Thomas Silver on guitar, where he remains to this today. With the line-up reformed, in 2009 Crazy Lixx signed a contract, which lasts until today, with the Italian label Frontiers Records. In 2010, the band released its second studio album, New Religion. In September 2014, Crazy Lixx announced their fourth studio album would be self-titled and released in Europe on November 7th and in the United States on November 11th on Frontiers Records.

Video:

Frontiers Music are releasing tomorrow CRAZY LIXX's first live album, "Sound Of The LIVE Minority", recorded at Bang Your Head Festival in Balingen, Germany in July 2015 and been mixed by Chris Laney who has previously been entrusted to mix live albums for Europe, Talisman and Crashdiet, among others. On the one hand, this album is the perfect record to sum up four studio albums and more than a decade as a touring band in an hour plus documentation of energetic, live rock n' roll with the very best songs from their catalogue and most requested fan favorites. On the other hand, it also marks the end of the band's most successful line-up, with guitarist Andreas Z Eriksson (now with British Hard Rockers Inglorious) as the lead guitar slinger. This live performance was his last show with the band.Appropriately titled "Sound Of The LIVE Minority", which references their debut album title 'Sound of the Loud Majority', it's a great live retrospective. Essentially a greatest hits live album, this baby doesn’t disappoint; the production and sound quality are excellent for a live recording. All three of the bands’ previous studio releases are represented here and the live renditions have a nice punch to them. If you’re already a fan of Crazy Lixx then you already know and love these songs. Get your fist pumping, because this performance gives you a chance to feel like you’re at one of their shows. For those not acquainted with Crazy Lixx, this is as good of a collection of great songs, that spans their career as you’re likely to find and a great place to start if you’re curious about their sound. Crazy Lixx is already working in a new studio album. But, until then, "Sound Of The LIVE Minority" should hold you over and be a great addition to your collection.

Album

Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Crazy Lixx's new studio album, “Ruff Justice” on April 21, 2017. The new record celebrates Crazy Lixx’s fifteenth anniversary as a band and offers ten hair / sleaze / 80's metal gems that harken back to the height of the hard rock era. The new songs draw inspiration from not only music, but also from 1980’s horror and action flicks and stand as a glowing reminder that pretty much everything was better in the 80’s. With its big choruses, memorable hooks and riffs, impressive guitar solos, and a massive production by Danny Rexon and Chris Laney, this album is sure to resonate with old fans and new listeners alike. “We’ve tried the same ‘all killers-no fillers’ approach that we’ve gone for on our previous albums, but this time, more than ever, I think we’ve come close to that vision,“ says lead singer and producer Danny Rexon. “Ruff Justice” will be the first Crazy Lixx album to feature the new lineup with Chrisse Olsson and Jens Lundgren handling axe duties. “It does bring a certain feel to the album that I think we’ve been missing since the days of ‘New Religion’ (2010). Once again the whole band pulls in the same direction and the end result, I believe, will be very well received among those who hold ‘New Religion’ in high regards. If I would compare Ruff Justice to any of our previous albums, that would have to be the one,” Danny Rexon concludes. The album also includes three songs which appear on the “Friday The 13th” videogame soundtrack: “XIII”, “Killer“ and “Live Before I Die”. Friday the 13th: The Game is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Gun Media and IllFonic, and published by Gun Media. It is scheduled for release in early 2017 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox, and Playstation 4. With "Ruff Justice", Crazy Lixx have raised their game tremendously! As always, their live shows in support of this album are going to take no prisoners! Don’t miss them while they’re on the road!

Bio:

Album:

While waiting for the new CRAZY LIXX album, the band and Frontiers Music decided it was finally time to properly reissue the band’s debut album "Loud Minority", remastered and adding seven bonus tracks. At the same time, the first – long out-of-print - two releases for the Frontiers label, “New Religion” and “Riot Avenue” are being reissued with the addition of bonus material too.For the first time, those releases will also be made available on limited vinyl editions too.For years impossible to find, CRAZY LIXX full length debut "Loud Minority" is a killer LP. The band released some singles in the first half of 2000's, and then "Loud Minority" appeared via a small, indie label. The album sports a picture perfect production supplied by Swedish guru Chris Laney (of Zan Clan and Animal fame). Laney turned Crazy Lixx into a professional and polished melodic hard rock band, a group of young guys at the time that had talent and maturity far exceeding their age.It is a production that could rival that of Motley Crue‘s Dr. Feelgood and Def Leppard‘s Hysteria – it is that huge. The songs are filled with big hooks and melodies, with a clear '80s influence. For being such a young band it is amazing that they were able to release such catchy mature material, and on such a consistent basis."Loud Minority" kicks things off with the Skid Row influenced “Hell Or High Water” and doesn’t let up from there. “Want It” is pure Eighties arena rock, complete with an abundance of memorable guitar riffs and layered back-up vocals.“Make Ends Meet” starts off as a ballad before building up into one of the best songs on the disc while “Boneyard” shows that the band can crank up the volume to 11.Most of Crazy Lixx‘s previously released material is included as well, re-worked and polished. “Heroes Are Forever” sounds fantastic as does the anthem “Do Or Die”. If you need proof of how far this band has evolved look no further than “Death Row”, which has been completely revamped with lush harmonies. If you wanna taste the original versions, this Frontiers reissue added a bunch as bonus tracks.

For the first time, those releases will also be made available on limited vinyl editions too.Crazy Lixx's second full-length release "New Religion" is considered by many their best work to date, here including the killer bonus track 'Lights Out', a monster tune that deserved to be heard by all fans. With the tight production of Chris Laney, few bands are able to capture the sound of the ’80s as well as Crazy Lixx. It is the sound of huge sing-a-long choruses, furious guitar work, and memorable melodies.Crazy Lixx do it all, whether it be full throttle rockers, midtempo melody or heartfelt ballads, these four guys have created here perhaps their more complete album.“21 ‘Til I Die”, “Road To Babylon” and “Lock up Your Daughter” find the band at their rocking best while “Blame It On Love” has that obvious Laney feel dripping all over it.The Crazy Lixx are stepping into Def Leppard‘s shoes with the super-production of “My Medicine” and “Voodoo Woman”, perfect examples of that classic multi-layered production.Another track that stands out is "She's Mine". This one is total glam rock, heavy on the suggestive lyrics, and with a feel bringing to mind Warrant's classic Cherry Pie. Love the keyboards here. Then more aggresive is "Children of the Cross" with its razor riff pay homage to the best of Skid Row, and possibly do it better. While comparisons are inevitable, there is a fine sense of creativity invigorating Crazy Lixx's resurrection of the classic '80s stylings. "New Religion" is not all copycat reminders of Poison or Motley Crue as so many bands from Sweden to Italy hope to show. No, there is real talent and genius here: Crazy Lixx invokes their musical history with fresh rockin' clarity.

Album:

Scandinavian melodic hard rockers CRAZY LIXX are back with a new collection of tune that harkens back to the best of ‘80s rock, while also keeping a foot planted in the 21st century. “Forever Wild” will be released next May 17th via Frontiers Music, and tomorrow appears this Japanese edition including a bonus track. With huge choruses, memorable hooks and riffs, wailing, emotive guitar solos, and massive production by front man Danny Rexon and Chris Laney, this album is sure to resonate with old fans and new listeners alike. The band explores a wider range of styles than ever before on “Forever Wild”. From the hard rocking and anthemic opening track “Wicked” to the '80s AOR inspired “Silent Thunder” to songs like "Eagle" that sound like they came off a Bon Jovi album circa 1986, Crazy Lixx manage to blend a love and reverence for ‘80s rock with their own stamp on each track. With “Forever Wild", Crazy Lixx have set the bar very high against their own revered and celebrated catalog. Their best album yet? Yes.

Album:

"Two Shots At Glory" serves as a commemoration of Crazy Lixx's illustrious 20+ year career, featuring reimagined renditions of their iconic choruses, unforgettable hooks, and electrifying guitar solos, all while introducing some exciting new surprises. The compilation was introduced by reimagined classics from the band’s catalogue “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot”, “Lights Out!” and “Fire It Up!” in the past few months. All accompanied by UST videos that draw inspiration from a wide range of films, from blockbuster hits of the 90s to lesser-known 80s B-movies. They've gained immense popularity with both new and longtime fans, amassing nearly 10 million views in the past year. Some of these videos have even gone viral and climbed the official YouTube rock music charts. Consistently releasing one album after another, Crazy Lixx, the Swedish hard rock sensations, has solidified its position as the forefront leader in the resurgence of '80s hard rock within Scandinavia. With staggering views in the millions for well-loved videos such as "Wild Child" and "Hunter of the Heart" on YouTube, remarkable streaming figures for hit tracks like "Blame It On Love," "Hell Raising Women," and "XIII," and the inclusion of "Wild Child" in the Nicolas Cage horror film "Willy’s Wonderland," Crazy Lixx is unwaveringly advancing in their quest for global dominance.
