Heavy Bones was a short-lived hard rock band from Hollywood, California from the early ‘90s that came and went quickly as the metal genre was losing clout commercially.Formed in 1990 by vocalist Joel Ellis and Berklee-schooled guitarist Gary Hoey, the band fleshed out their line-up with drummer Frankie Banali, who had found great success as a member of Quiet Riot, and bass player Rex Tennyson. Signed to Reprise, the quartet's self-titled debut was released in 1991, but the dramatic shift in the musical landscape at the time made their ‘80s-styled, hair metal obsolete upon issue. They did manage to get a bit of attention with the track "Turn It On," but not enough to make the act a viable vehicle. Hoey would go on to a solo career (with Banali continuing to work with him) and notch several successful radio tracks with his instrumental tracks that highlighted his technical prowess.

Now being released digitally remixed and mastered.
