True to the legacy of the blues, there’s a certain darkness lurking on every corner, in the albums’ alchemist combination of southern gothic, existential dread and its tale of a civilization in decline.“The album title Decline Of The West has become quite prophetic during the making of the record. The changes we have seen in Europe and the US over the last year, where fear and xenophobia seems to overrule principles as human rights and solidarity are really disturbing. In addition to this, our collective lack of historical knowledge and ourreckless quest for economic growth seems like a deadly cocktail. A small part of humanity are right now sitting on the golden thrones, totally unaware that they have become miniature sun kings and tsars exploiting the world beyond borders, religions and skin colors. There are no easy answers in the current state of the world, but for now we have chosen to put up a mirror, so the reflection can begin with ourselves “ -Frederik Schnoor , Freddy And The Phantoms Freddy And The Phantoms have established themselves as one of the most respected blues rock acts in Denmark known for their breathtaking live shows and musical skills of international standards. The band have already paid their dues supporting legends as The Eagles, Twisted Sister and Blackberry Smoke og played many of the biggest venues and festivals in Denmark. Their latest album Times of Division from 2014 was praised by several of the biggest rock media in Europe and given 8,5 by Rock Hard Germany and 5/6 by Scream Magazine, Norway. Decline of The West was recorded in the band’s own studio in Copenhagen and mixed and mastered in Rumble Room by Rune René Hansen. Remember to check out the rare guest appearance by the American guitarist Billy Cross (Bob Dylan, Link Wray, Meat Loaf) who adds a spark of rock ‘n’ roll magic to the nostalgic track NYC 1965.

Danish Freddy And The Phantoms are ready with their sixth studio album Heathen Gospels, which is a melting pot of country, blues and desert rock and their most fully-toned Americana record to date. The album offers a ride into the open landscapes with sky high promises , while a deep desperation hides in the valleys of the mind. With these Heathen Hymns, the band focuses on big personal questions such as freedom, spirituality, betrayal and the eternal desire for power, money and carnal desires."We have written the album during the autumn of 2023 and it is our most collective effort so far. Everyone has contributed to the songwriting and compositions, and we have let the songs and melodies dictate where the track should land, which has resulted in a very varied, unpolished and melodic expression that we have not explored in the same way before. In January 2023 we played in the USA for the first time, with 3 shows in Asbury Park, so no doubt some inspiration was brought home for this record" - states the band Heathen Gospels was recorded in the band's own studio in The Countryside in Hornbæk on the North Coast of Sealand. The Record is Mixed by Knut Haavik (Hotel Hunger, Atterman etc.), who has assisted the band in bringing the cinematic qualities of the songs to life , while retaining plenty of warmth and presence in the sound. Sonically, the listener has arrived together with the band somewhere on the "Nordic Prairie" and is invited on a journey of discovery into an epic universe that stands on the shoulders of legends as The Band, Fleetwood Mac, ZZ Top and The Doors.Album released by Target Records.
